Welcome to the Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce Public Affairs Center!
The Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce has represented its members and community for more than 100 years. With over 400 members, our Chamber is the voice of business striving to build a vibrant economic climate and a satisfying quality of life.
Each year the Division of Public Affairs communicates with the Chamber membership, assesses community needs, and identifies emerging issues to develop the Chamber’s Legislative Agenda. The document is presented to the Orangeburg County Legislative Delegation and serves as a framework for advocacy during the legislative session.
Included in this site are Advocacy Tools to assist members in communication with their legislators. This page includes web links to state and federal governments. The South Carolina Legislature Online is the primary link that is utilized in identifying your legislators, contacting your legislators, and researching bills that have been introduced. To further assist with advocacy, tips for communicating with legislators is included in this section. Chamber members who are classified as having ten or less employees can also sign up to receive legislative updates by e-mail from the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.
